3 day walk - 1 day break in Cadaquès

The walking area is situated north-east of the Catalan rocky coast not far from the town of Figueres birth place of Salvador Dali. The artist found most of his inspiration in the landscapes of the peninsula named Cap de Creus ( Cape of Crosses), listed as a Natural Park since 1998.

• Day 1 :

Morning: welcoming at hotel in Port de la Selva, a white walled small fishermen's place.
Afternoon: xalk uphill to the monastery San Pere de Rodes (comented visit) and to the vestiges of a medieval castle.
Exceptional panoramas over Cap de Creus, the gulf of Roses, the Empordà plain and the mountain of Canigou.
"Tapas" tasting, dinner & night.

• Day 2 :

Crossing of the Natural Park with tich showcase of endemic flora. The wild environment is underlined by hundreds of drystone walls.
Cap de Creus also offers an amazing scenery of colourful rocks carved by sea and wind.
Close to the lighthouse, the local bar overlooks the coast.
After the picnic lunch in a quiet creek, a beautiful coastal footpath leads to Cadaquès across pine trees, cistus, oak and olive trees.
Diner & night.

• Day 3 :

Free day in Cadaquès.
Visit Salvador Dali's house in Port-Lligat or go for a boat trip along the coast (both need reservation the day before) or have an easy rambling to Cala Nans lighthouse. Optional excursion : Dal'is Museum in Figueres.

• Day 4 :

Unforgettable walk from Cadaquès to Roses along the "Cami de Ronda" (patrol path) from cliffs to creeks. Detour to the integral nature reserve of Cap Norfeu, ideal for birdwatching. The trail goes a few yards past the renowned "world's best restaurant", El Bullí.
Dinner & night in the beautiful gulf of Roses near the historical "Ciutadella".

• Day 5 :

Transfer to departure place after breakfast.
