We invited you to discover the landscapes, the soils, the Châteaux of these prestigious appellations, to meet people who raise these great wines and who will share their experinces.
Birthplace of the Bordeaux vineyards, the appellation Graves extends on the left bank of the river Garonne. Its name cames from the rocky grounds, which reflects the sun's rays, allowing a perfect ripe bunches. This soil produces red wines characterized by a pronounced flavor, and white wines dry and nervous. The Médoc, one of the most famous vineyards in the world, invites you by the Route of Grands Crus to explore its renowned wine regions and discover its different Château evidence of the prosperity and prestige of the Viticulture Bordelaise. Big names such as Margaux, Latour, Mouton-Rothschild, Lafite-Rothschid, are in this circuit. Visiting the property will reveal the pleasures of wine tasting with infinite shades and flavors, often in a luxury location.
After breakfast depart for a tour to discover the appellations Pessac-Leognan, Margaux, St. Julien, Pauillac, Medoc and St. Esteche. Visit and tasting at a Cru Graves and a Grand Cru Classe Medoc. Lunch at the winemaker's restaurant. Visit and tasting at a Cru Bourgeois. Gourmet dinner and overnight.
The medieval village of Saint-Emilion is built like an amphitheater on a privileged site. This is a large indentation on the top of a limestone hill, exposed to the midday sun and covered with vineyards. The city has maintained its ancient walls and gates and a number of prestigious archaeological monuments. In 1999 the jurisdiction of Saint-Emilion was the first vineyard landscape inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list.
Qualified by Louis XVI when he visited Libourne "the nectar of the gods", the wines of Saint-Emilion are warm, generous, full bodied and with a vivid color. They keep their grape flavor and, through bottle aging, develop a special bouquet. Tour in the vineyards of Pomerol and Saint-Emilion with visit and tastings of wines in the vicinity of Petrus and in the Grand Cru Classé Saint-Emilion (Bélair, Angélus, Figeac.). Lunch at a wine bar known for the quality of its cuisine and its wine list. Guide Tour in the underground monuments of the medieval city and walk through the narrow cobbled streets.
