Eco-tourist escapade

• Day 1 (meeting and presentation of the stay)

The participants will be welcomed at the fasthotel of perpignan next to the station, in the beginning of evening.
After delivery of keys, Bernard will propose a presentation of stay progress and the departemental territory around one slide show and coffee. The participants can so ask the questions which they want.

• Day 2 (nature at Nyer and world culture of escaro mine)

Morning: Departure to the hotel at 7:30 am after the breakfast in direction of the station.
Journey in train Perpignan / Villefranche....; then at villefranche the participants will take place in the little yellow train until Nyer.
During the journey our guide will take advantage of it to present this work declared public utility in 1903 during the beginning of his construction.
This train is a technical exploit for this period , it has required the construction of lot of arts works goes along craggy gradients and can count until 6% of declension.

Finally a description of the landscape could be done in order to present the typicity of the various spaces and explain the felt change in temperature.
Arrived to Nyer, movment in feel and joelette until the reserve house situated at a few hundred meters.
9:45 am presentation of Nyer reserve and visit of exposure about bats with Olivier (who manage the Nyer reserve house for the general council).
11 am, 12:30 am walk in carriage on the territory of the reserve. Fauna and Flora Observation.
The guide will approach the themes of the presentation of the natural park of pyrénées catalane (his fauna, his flora, his territory, his utility). The sorts in process of Disappearance the remarkable sorts present on the territory, the reason of their disappearance and the means of conservation of these sort and the observation of bird (they are relatively easy to observe during the summer period and we can identified them with regard to their Shouts).
Finally following the faunistics, floral and patrimonial meeting, some stops will be done to get closer of certain elements (as far as there is no negative impact on the environment).

The guide will have in his ownership some gasoline's of local plants, feathers of birds, and metamorphoses of snake to make them touch and for some to smell to the participants to stimulate their senses and decorate the presentation. The guide can explain for example the differences between the various sorts of oaks spaces easily recognizable by their sheets.

Afternoon: After picnic in the reserve the participants will go in carriage until escaro.
During the journey, the guide will make various readings of landscape in order to emphasize the difference between cerdagne and the conflent.
He will present the conflent and the sacred mountain of the Catalans which dominates Canigou.
Finally about a kilometre of Escaro wa can observe the villages and his careers, so he can approach the theme of mine.

6 am Escaro museum of mines discovery and presentation of the ancient tools of miror's life of formerly by M.Matinez.
The participants will go after to the village shelter where they will have diner and will spend the night.

• Day 3 (Iron way)

Morning: 10:30 - 11:30 am after a breakfast at the shelter the participants will rejoin M.Martinez on the hill situated on height of the village in order to take advantage of one reading of landscape.
In fact since this hill we can observe the landscape makes by the mine extractions. On the territory of the ancients mine we find various types of Rocks and particular stones semi precious.
M. Martinez will make touch certain fragments of rocks that will have brought to make them discover and the guide will explain their geological formation.
11:30 departure to sahorre in order to have lunch in the restaurant of the appearances classified bar of country.
It is about a local cooking.

Afternoon: 13:30 am Vernet-les-bains. Departure.
A stop will be done on the height which dominated the thermal city in order to present this station, the importance and the origin of his balneology, as well as the floods which destroyed it near one century ago.
The guide will take advantage to present also the river which cross the city: the têt.
The participants will be welcomed at the hotel the sources. They will have after the possibility to take advantage of the balneology joy before the diner and to rest at the hotel.

• Day 4: "Nature in city and Canigou's Ascent"

Morning: After the breakfast at the hotel, the guide will propose a visit of the village arboterum. The participants will walk in the city in order to discover the variety of raised essences which is finding there as well as their "typicités".
The guide will make call to the different senses of the participants by making touch sheets and barks, smelling the flours and listening the birds (in addition to the view).

Afternoon: After a picnic in the station of the city the participants will go in carriage until the Refuge of Mariailles, the highest village of Canigou. The participants will dine there and will spend the night.
During the way the guide will approach the theme of Canigou by its tatural aspect (fauna, flora and geology).

• Day 5: "From the height to water"

Morning: Around 8h, after a break fast at the refuge the participants will go pedestrian randonné there and joelette for one hour to the discovery of the natural richest of Canigou.
The participants will come down again then in carriage until Villefranche-de-conflent.

Afernoon: The participants will picnic on the way between Marialles and Villefranche. During the way the guide will approach the theme of Canigou under it human aspect (the ancient economy of Canigou, the life in the conflent). He will tell then some legends which are connected with the mountain.
Finally arriving towards the city of Villefranche he will present the city and his famous architect: Vauban.

The participants will attend the entertainment of the caves of canalettes. They will discover the subterranean geology and his natural's sculptures.

They will go then to Villefranche station to return in train on Perpignan.
At about 7 pm departure to Rosalie from Perpignan station until Canet-en-Roussillon. Arrived anticipated around 20h30/21h. The participants will be welcomed at St George hotel next to the port, with a well deserved diner.
During the way in Rosalie, the guide will present first of all Perpignan and Catalane culture. Then he will get out from the city, he will present the roussillon plane and will bring up her geologic, naturals, cultural differences with the territory of the mountains.
Finally arriving towards Canet he will talk about the pond (faunistic and floral richest) and of the manner that man have appropriate himself this territory which was hostile.

• Day 6: "Richest of the Roussillonnese cost of Orientals Pyrenees"  

Morning: After a breakfast at the hotel the participants will go at 9 am from Canet port aboard of the biggest Catamaran of French cost.
During three hours they will discover the littoral of the department of the sea.
The sailor of Catamaran will present the geologic differences between the sandy coast and the rocky coast. He will talk about the evolution of the territory economic activity (agriculture, fishing and tourism), then he will approach a presentation of the different marines spaces and ground of catalane littoral.
Finally he will talk about the different villages of the coast at the moment where the boat will cross them (Saint Cyprien, Argelès, Collioure, and Port-Vendres).

Arrived around 12 am. Departure for a little pedestrian ride and joelettes in vineyards where the participants will have a wine degustation during a picnic.
The principals themes which will be approached during this ride are: the agricultural activity and especially wine of the territory, and the construction in dry stones.

Afternoon: In the beginning of afternoon the participants will join the banyuls beach for an initiation into the dive under marine. The persons affected by a hearing handicap will make a discovery of the maritime environment in palms mask and special tuba. During this excursion the participants will discover the fauna and the flora of Cerbère/Banyuls undermarine reserve.
We will present them the risk of human activity on this fragile environment and the means implemented to protect it.
The night and the diner are foreseen at Banyuls at solhotel hotel.

• Day 7: "Discovery of the cost Vermeille"

Departure of the beach in the morning for kayak day which will allow follow cliffs and creeks of the rugby coast by crossing the reserve under marine of Cerbère  / Banyuls to reach Cerbère.
A picnic is planned in a creek halfway where the participants who will  wish it can bathe.
It will be necessary again to make sensitive the participants on the fragility of this environment. They can also discover the fauna and the ground flora of the cliffs of the Rugby coast.
Finally the guide will tell them the historic evolutions of the territory talking about of the Albères and the border of Spain.

The participants will join again thn Port-Bou in train because they will spend the night in the shelter-hotel Comodo after a good dinner.

• Day 8: "Viva españa !"

Departure at 9:30 am from Port-Bou to Figueres in Spain.
The participants will discover the Dali museum. The guide will propose them a conducted tour to the discovery of the impressionist catalane artist with lot of masterpieces.
The meal will take place in a restaurant at tapas in order to discover this meal typically spanish which permit to put an end to the stay.

The participant will go then to Figueres station around 4 pm for a come back on Perpignan foreseen at 6pm.
The participant will have then the choice to leave the same night or to take an option in order to sleep one more night at Fasthotel in Perpignan for leave the next day.
