"Lands & Terroir Tour"
8 Days / 7 Nights

• Day 1: Carcassonne

Arrival in the late afternoon with your vehicle in the city of Carcassonne. Installation in a hotel *** situated in the heart of the medieval city.
After dinner in a traditional restaurant in the city, enjoy a late walk and explore the Old City listed as World Heritage by UNESCO.

• Day 2: From the Minervois to the Catalan region

In the morning, discover on your own charms of the city. Located on the right bank of the Aude on a oppidum which gave this name (Carcasso) to the city.
3 kms of walls and 52 towers surround this prestigious and unique place in Europe.
Lunch on your own. In the early afternoon, you will drive and discover the Minerva. This medieval town was established in the 11th Century. In a magnificent site. The gorges de la Cesse that surround it, are real fortifications but despite their height, they yielded after eight weeks of siede during the crusade against the Cathars.
Enjoy different crafts, and a museum about Cathare history.
(Then enjoy on your own an easy walk of 5km500 - 1h30 / Road book delivered upon arrival at the hotel)
Then drive to the Domaine de L'Ostal Cazes.
You will discover olive groves and vineyards. After a walk through the property, you will taste the products.
Upon your arrival in the capital of French Catalonia, you will dine in an authentic Catalan Mas. You will enjoy a traditional meal made of local recipes and adapted to the season.

Dinner at Mas Vermeil.
Stay for the night in Perpignan in a beautiful vineyard in the middle of 30 hectares of vineyards in a guesthouse of charm similar to a B&B 4 epis.

• Day 3: "Citadelles du vertige" in the valley of the Agly

After breakfast, departure to one of the "citadelles du vertiges": Castle Quéribus, then after a lunch on your own in Cucugnan, go to the Agly valley and follow the river which has dug a curvy bed between the prestigious vineyard of Roussillon. (Count 2 hours of walk- some climbing)
Later you will meet one of those winemakers who will open the doors of the wine cellar of Agly during a hike (2 hours 30 trip without difficulty.). Equipped with a logbook in English, you will discover the paths around Montner, they will deliver to you the secrets of the wine tradition on the roads of Cotes du Roussillon village and other Muscats de Rivesaltes.
Late afternoon you will taste the wines of Mr Séguié then you will go to the "Auberge du Cellier" where Chef Pierre Louis Marino will serve you a gourmet meal with a touch of Mediterranean flavor.

After dinner back to Perpignan or Saint-Cyprien for the night.

• Day 4: The wonders of the Côte Vermeille

Early morning drive to the Côte Vermeille, the first step will lead you to Collioure, a village with its steeple and its royal castle, both feet in the water. Collioure is the memory of anchovy fishermen and painters (Matisse, Derain, Dudy...).
Discover on your own the city, then late morning if you wish, you can visit a salt compagny of the village (Ets Roque or Ets Desclaux).
Lunch on your own.
Continue the road between vineyard (2 hours 15 minutes - a few difficulties) and take you where the steep rock plunges into the sea. Then visit of the vast cave of Cellier des Templiers followed by a tasting of the best Banyuls.
Gourmet dinner at the restaurant "Littorine", wine included.
Back for the night in Perpignan or Saint-Cyprien.

• Day 5: Castelnou and les Aspres

10.00 am: Visit with a guide (English, French and Deutch) the priory of Monastir del Camp
11.30 am: Chateau de Sau, visit of the winery and wine tasting associated with fruit juice of Sau production.
Lunch on your own in Castlenou and visit on your own this beautiful medieval village
4.00 pm: Domaine Montana welcomes you to visit his vineyard: wine cellar and museum "Vines and Wine" (walk in the vineyards around 1 hour 30 minutes).
Your day will end with a wine tasting.

Warm and genuine welcome at the Duflot villa for an excellent dinner at the poolside or in the hotel's restaurant du Mas d'Huston.
Back for the night in your hotel.

• Day 6: Béziers - Murviel les Béziers

Your day is devoted to the discovery of Béziers and its fascinating historical herotage.
In the morning, you take the time to visit the old city and its 6500 years of history: the ancient city on the steps of St. Pépézuc and Aphrodise - do-not forget your camel !-
Lunch on your own, in town.
Early in the afternoon, you will drive to discover the Abbey of Fontcaude. Then you continue your road for the small village of Roquebrun. At 16h, the visit of the jardin Méditerranéen will make you discover all charms of Nice of Herault.
Night in a charming hotel *** "Chateau de Saint-Martin des Champs" located in the heart of a vineyard and a few kilometers from the village of Murviel les Béziers.
Regional Dinner.

• Day 7: Faugères - Pézenas - Hérépian

After breakfast, drive on the Terres d'Orb and discover one of the oldest vineyard of France existing since ancient Greek or five Centuries BC. Meet Mr Christopher Blanc in the Chateau de Montpezat, visit one of the biggest and prestigious domain in the region. Then you'll have the pleasure of strolling through the streets of Pézenas in the footsteps of Molière. Next stop in Roujan, discover the Castle Abbey Cassan. (Visit included). 
Visit the inside of the building but do not miss, the outside imposing facade of the Episcopal palace, pasterpiece of classical architecture of the 17th Century, which alone is worth the detour. At the end of the day, regional dinner will be waiting for you in your hotel either in Murviel les Béziers or Hérépian.
